What is Alpha?
ALPHA @ EL is open to anyone curious about the Christian faith and seeking purpose in life. Throughout the course, you’ll participate in a series of sessions that explore the Christian faith and God. These interactive sessions offer a chance to hear various perspectives and engage in deep discussions about purpose and faith. Many past participants have benefited from the key principles taught and have had a lot of fun asking questions!

Who is Alpha For?
ALPHA @ EL is for everyone! Whether you are a non-Christian curious about the Christian faith and searching for the meaning of life, or a new Christian wanting to build a foundational understanding of God and faith, this course is for you.
All you need is a curious mind and an open heart!
How is Alpha Conducted?
ALPHA @ EL is conducted in a causal and conversational setting. Typically in each session, we watch a video, engage in conversations and develop friendships over food.
These 10 sessions are held weekly — a mix of onsite meetings on Saturdays and online meetings on Wednesdays.
When is it Happening?
Start Date: 31 August – 12 October
Sessions:
- Saturdays: 9:30am – 12:30pm (In-person)
- Some Wednesdays: 8:15pm – 9:45pm (Online)

5th October: Who is the Holy Spirit? | What does the Holy Spirit do? | How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit? (Saturday, 9:30am – 4:00pm)
9th October: How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
12th October: Celebration (Saturday, 9:30am – 12:00pm)

We understand you may have questions! Here are some frequently asked questions (FAQs) that might be helpful to you:
The course is designed for individuals aged 21 and above.
The sessions are completely free. We believe in making Alpha completely accessible to everyone interested.
Absolutely, everyone is most welcome, regardless of their religious background.
In fact, the ALPHA has been attended by many non-Christians around the world.
It will give a platform for people from all walks of life to explore the basics of Christian faith and ask any questions they might have in an open and friendly environment.
It would be beneficial if you can attend all sessions.
Nevertheless, we understand that schedule conflicts can occur. Hence, attendance at every session is not compulsory. You're welcome to join as many sessions as you can.
Participation in discussions is completely optional.
You are not required to speak or ask questions if you do not feel comfortable doing so.
We are most delighted that you come with an open mind, ready to learn and possibly share when you're ready.
No prior Bible knowledge is required to participate in the Alpha program.
The sessions are open to everyone, regardless of backgrounds, beliefs, and religions.
Unfortunately, we do not provide childcare services during the sessions.
We would recommend making arrangements for your own childcare support if necessary.
