It is frustrating, isn’t it? We want to speak to a person, not an automated or AI voice. But the world has become impersonal with new technology.
I am glad that we serve a personal God. After creating Adam and Eve, He spoke to them (Genesis 1). In the cool of the evening, God would visit the garden to spend time with them (Genesis 3). He created man in His image so that we could have a personal relationship with Him.
In the same way, we should relate to one another in a personal way. One of our church’s core values is genuine relationship. The way God relates to us is the way we want to relate to others. It means we love people and will reach out in authentic friendship.
As you enter the second quarter of 2024, I encourage you: call someone, have a coffee, pay a visit. Whatever it may be, let them know you care.
