Hi ELites,
The month of February brings with it the celebration of Valentine’s Day 
and Chinese New Year 
—two occasions that, at their core, are centred on relationships. In EL, one of our core values is Genuine Relationships. As ELites, we are called to love and care for one another sincerely, because in doing so, we reflect God’s love and care for us 
“We love because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
As we draw near to these celebrations, let us be reminded first that we are deeply loved by God 
. May this assurance overflow into the way we treasure the people around us. Let us keep offences short, extend forgiveness freely, and intentionally seek ways to honour and esteem others above ourselves. In doing so, we demonstrate the restorative love of Christ in our community and beyond
