BLESSED NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!
As we begin a New Year, what are your resolutions and goals for 2024? If you have not set any, I strongly encourage you to do so. Zig Ziglar, a motivational speaker rightly says, “If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.” My desire is to be more like Jesus – to think like Him, to speak like Him, to act like Him.
Our church has designated 2024 as the Year of Discipleship. Colossians 2:6 (Message Paraphrase) says, “My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live Him.”
The goal of the disciple is to be like his teacher. He learns so that he can master his knowledge and skills. Similarly, we read the Bible, listen to sermons and pray to know more about God and His plan for us. We must not stop at learning. We must live out what we have learned and be true followers of Jesus Christ. Let us be transformed to be more like Him.
DL Moody, the famous evangelist says, “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By God’s help, I aim to be that man.”
May we be fully devoted to God, so NOW LIVE HIM!
