The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)
Our God is a God of blessings. He gave this command to the priests to bless His people. Jesus teaches that God sends sunlight and rain to everyone, both the good and the evil. The Bible told us to bless and not to curse (Romans 12:14 – Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.)
I encourage you to speak words of blessings to those you meet. Whether they are family, friends or even “enemies”, let us learn to bless. The coming Chinese New Year provides us many opportunities to be like our God who blesses. Take time to think about your CNY greetings and wishes as they are words of blessings!
