May 2025 is a special month for Singapore. It begins with Labor Day to recognize and celebrate the contributions of workers towards our nation. 3rd May 2025 is the General Election that determines the government. This is quickly followed by Mother’s Day on 11th May. The 4-week school holidays start on 24th May. Which of these mean the most to you?
For me, it is the fact that one-third (1/3) of the year has passed. Moses who lived to 120 years old, prayed, “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12) Time sweeps by quickly. I wonder how you are keeping with your New Year resolutions.
I resolve to slow down and live an unhurried life this year. Honestly, I have not been able to do it except to read about slowing down. It is one thing to know; it is another to do. I urge you to take stock of your life regardless of your age. Know your priorities and live wisely. You will enjoy a rich and fulfilling life.
